Steel Art Billboards– the most trusted outdoor advertising provider in Visayas and Mindanao, will once again participate on WWF’s Earth Hour movement tomorrow, Saturday, March 24, 2018 along with 7,000 other participating cities in 180 countries.
Actively taking part on the grand switch-off occasion for 10 years now, Steel Art Billboards sees this corporate responsibility to be a symbol of commitment to take tangible actions toward climate change.
Steel Art Billboards will be turning off all their lighted billboards from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM across major cities all around the country to support this environmental cause, build awareness on the importance of biodiversity, and to spark “Beyond the Hour” initiatives.
The importance and the success of the Earth Hour lies to the continual movement after the lights go back on. Hence, last September 30, 2017, Steel Art Billboards, took a step to enhance and green their overall operations around the country by upgrading its lighted billboards from Metal-halide lamps to energy-efficient light-emitting diode (LED) flood lamps. This effort translates into the avoidance of thousand metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, which in turn help the environment by making it sustainable for generations to come.
Furthermore, Steel Art Billboards continues to remain committed to the global sustainability by operating with least environmental impacts that will benefit both consumers and the planet alike.
Together, let us take part and #Connect2Earth. For more information about the Earth Hour and how you can participate on this biggest global open-source movement for the environment, visit https://www.earthhour.org/country/philippines.
