Steel Art Billboards, Inc today is one of the leading outdoor advertising company in the Visayas and Mindanao area. However, its beginning was not quite as big.

The company started as Javar Enterprises, owned by Joe Dabao, father of today's General Manager, Raymond Dabao. Javar Enterprises was a painting company, and in 1985 started to make billboards made of GI sheets and wood. This is where Raymond, the youngest son of 5 siblings, got his first hands-on experience with the business painting with their billboard painters.

Raymond had to help out with the business at a very early age. He started doing office work for his dad during weekends when he was in high school, and started selling to clients in 1996 when he was in college. He intentionally took afternoon class schedules so he could work for the office in the morning.

On November of 1999 management changed the name to Steel Art Industries. During this time it was agreed that Raymond Dabao become the Sales, Marketing and General Manager, and his brother Vincent Dabao headed operations and production. Under the new company name and setup, the company increased its site offering and made production and operations more efficient.

Steel Art Industries split into two different companies on April 2007. Vincent put up Steel Art Advertising, Inc, which specialized in printing services.

Raymond took charge of Steel Art Billboards, Inc. (SABI), offering solely billboard rental for around 50 existing billboard structures at that time. Since then, SABI has grown aggressively throughout the years.

The company today has more than 150 billboards around the Visayas and Mindanao region. It is the only accredited company by the Outdoor Advertising Association of the Philippines (OAAP) in Western Visayas.

Steel Art Billboards has big-named companies as its clients, and is the key partner in the VisMin area for advertising agencies. The company is still managed by Raymond Dabao, who is the owner and general manager. He is also currently the Vice President of OAAP - Cebu.
